FEBRUARY BAINES
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top] FEBS NINETEEN MALE PANSEXUAL UNIVERSITY STUDENT | [atrb=style, width: 296px; padding: 5px; background-color: e3e3e3; border-top: 4px solid #966666;] GENERAL INFORMATION NAME, february du baines BIRTH DATE, |
HEIGHT, 6’1’’
WEIGHT, 169lbs
APPEARANCE, if febs isn’t wearing a hoodie of any kind, or at least a jacket, then you know something is wrong. Fleece-lined in the winter, thin fabric in the summer, they’re always there, be it layered over with another jacket or worn plain. His style is hip, casual, and completely open to going either end of the spectrum. One day an unassuming university student, the next day a dramatic presence, layering a vest and long jacket over a thinner hoodie. He’s not a stranger to accessories either- face consuming sunglasses are as far as he goes, though. Modifying his outfit to fit his presence is perfect to his style, because with chocolate skin, opaque blue eyes, and almost annoyingly long black hair, hiding something or other makes everything so much better-the goal is effect after all. Febs stands no taller than the average guy, and still manages to peer over the heads of most girls. Things like build and visible weight is hidden under his loose clothes, but he’s averagely fit, from what one can see. Below the clothes is an even build, muscled in the arms, abdomen, and legs. Not especially so, because the focus is on endurance for him, and not strength in say, fighting. [/div]
PERSONALITY
You’d be hard pressed to find a better mix of organization and passion (in the most sensual of senses, of course) than what you can see in February Du Baines. A self-starter who is fit for his own kind of leadership, he’s on level ground with the other youths in his dance classes. So maybe he isn’t the most erudite of folks- charisma doesn’t drip from his words but from his looks and moves. Call it superficial that this is an art he’s perfecting down to the clothes and the looks he gives you, but you can’t say it doesn’t work. He loves expressing his feelings through actions, and not silly little words that don’t carry the same weight.
It’s easy for him to maintain a straight face, to be able control his outward impression so that he looks unassuming and boring- and he hates talking to complete strangers in real life, so that makes it even better. Tapping away on a computer and then seeing them in real life- they’re not strangers when you’ve met them already, yeah? To be specific, he’s not afraid of strangers and doesn’t have anything like stage fright. It’s just speaking with them. The unknown is both an intriguing and fearful thing to Febs, and he takes as much of a compromise as he can with Backwards.
Speaking of Backwards, let’s take a detour to talk about that. Febs has always wished for a dance flash mob, and here comes Backwards- a flash mob pieced together by two or more organizers and as many volunteers as they can get. If it’s dance, if it’s even associated with dance, Febs will take the chance to show himself off in the spotlight, give it his all, it’s just gotta connect to dance. He’s not bad at dancing, and he especially loves the quick beat of dance songs that require lightning fast reflexes and a seemingly infinite stamina. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves- Febs isn’t always in Backwards (it’s completely optional, remember?), and for such a “dedicated” member of the team, some of the “better” regulars view him as flaky, not dependable.
LIKES,
♥ dance flash mobs
♥ old mp3 players
♥ clubs & concerts
♥ retro sneakers and shoes- 80s and 90s types are best.
♥ noodles. Anything with noodles. Pool noodles, soba noodles. Noodles.
DISLIKES,[/font]
✗ group discussions in his academic classes
✗ libraries (love/hate sort of thing- he always feels somewhat out of place, but nobody will talk to you there!)
✗ water
✗ smoke (cigarette, drug)
✗ anything watery, diluted, bland, or bitter.[/div]

PARENTS, rosemary baines ( née duartes) | 52
alis baines| 56
SIBLINGS, march lucian baines | 15 | male
april luciana baines |15| female
February, along with March and April, are all the grandsons/daughters of immigrants on their mother’s side. Their grandparents moved to America in early to mid-19th century America, and they’ve stuck around since then. Febs’ has always been an average student- Bs and Cs in suitably average classes were, frankly, suitable for him. He never expected himself to rise to some lofty position in some lofty profession. Maybe, he occasionally thought, but never more than that, and never seriously.
Dance didn’t come to him by means of his family or school, but by a small flash mob on the street, grooving to a then-popular song. Imitation from admiration followed promptly, and it stuck. Or to use a pun, the dancing moved him. He was still a teenager, and a hapless one at that, so it took a while before anything like formal training took place. But it wasn’t too much of a bad thing, as by then he could keep himself moving for a decent amount of time thanks to countless tries on the DDR machine at the arcade. Him being a sophomore in college marks his fourth year in dance. He only practices an average by himself, in an apartment where the neighbors are more than likely to interrupt 30 minutes of dancing. Febs usually prowls the streets for an empty dance studio, or just borrows his former teacher’s.

OTHER INFORMATION
febs is a (not the) ringleader in a major flash mob these days! He’s often one of the organizers and sometimes, instigators of a popular flashmob called Backwards! It’s not a dance-type flash mob like in the films or what Febs witnessed, but that doesn’t mean they can’t make a ruckus. They often organize in response to gang or political activity that effect the surrounding areas in ways that the people just don’t like. Their demonstrations range from silly to dramatic, and they usually make sure that the actions make an effect- they’ll ratch it up a notch if they don’t get noticed. You can catch Febs on the chatboards if Backwards’ next move is something you wanna be involved in.
Fun fact! He can’t swim. If he’s in a pool or ocean, he clings to pool noodles or some floatation device for dear life.
