HARLEY PHEARSON
[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top] harls, doc twenty six female pansexual unlicensed doctor | [atrb=style, width: 296px; padding: 5px; background-color: e3e3e3; border-top: 4px solid #966666;] GENERAL INFORMATION NAME, harley eve phearson BIRTH DATE, |
HEIGHT, 5' 4"
WEIGHT, 127 lbs
APPEARANCE, if it isn't the oddly colored hair that beckons strange looks, it's harley's odd sense of style. seldom can she walk into a family-oriented facility without being asked to change outfits; spandex, leather, and lycra apparently aren't family-friendly enough for middle america. her wardrobe's theme is 'dark, tight, and torture to wear in hot weather'. her insensible fashion sense doesn't stop there, to make up for her disappointingly below-average height harley often walks around in absurdly tall shoes. both of her ears are pierced, a stack of three piercings lining each ear. all of the tattoos from her youth have been removed- all twelve of them- with the financial aid of her more than eager father. her hair, however, maintained its bright green hue since her rebellious teenage years and she's not too eager to part with it. PERSONALITY
her appearance lends a hand in concocting many (often incorrect) preconceived notions of harley. anyone who paints an abstract picture of her being some edgy, brooding miscreant with a strong disdain for 'the man' will be sorely disappointed upon meeting her. though she is no fan of rigid conventionalism, harley is no brooding miscreant but is rather easygoing about most things. you'd be hard pressed to truly annoy or offend her. unfortunately, harley tends to do a messy balancing act between being easygoing and being flippant towards those she finds nonthreatening.
harley maintains control over her emotions. no dramatic fits of anger or theatrical weeping from her. she finds it unwise to be so open with your emotions, not in a place so ridden with dangerous people. she is careful around others when it comes to information and is secretive about her intentions, family, and emotions. it's too dangerous a world to be completely open with anyone, a lesson harley doesn't need to learn firsthand to religiously follow. because she lives in a territory she considers unsafe and spontaneous, harley does her best to be watchful of her surroundings while maintaining a calm persona. in the event that harley does detect danger she has no qualms fleeing, her pride and reputation do not supersede her life or someone else's. as lazy and irresponsible as some may think she is, harley has (some) of her priorities in order.
she is sociable, whether it be around strangers or friends. she likes interacting with others and is only wary when what she considers very personal is questioned. she does, ironically, have the tendency to prod into other people's personal life. harley has no malicious intent behind it, though many find it grating on their nerves. it is merely a habit she acquired during her work with her patients, many of whom enjoyed bragging about how they got the injury she was stitching up.
though carefree about most things, harley considers herself a professional and in her eyes all professionals need a little leverage now and then. she is not above insincere flattery and bribery to get that leverage. whether it be to get a loan to purchase some much needed equipment or to get yet another extra week to pay rent, harley peppers a few pretty words and a few false promises to get what she needs. her less than honorable attitude towards others extends beyond business partners, many of her 'friends and acquaintances' are treated more like pets or playthings than comrades. this includes relentless teasing in many forms, which she considers harmless fun but others may find aggravating. in all, harley seems to be more of a languid, teasing cat than a (questionably) average civilian.

PARENTS, herald thomas phearson
alice georgiana phearson (née llyod)
SIBLINGS, harvey elliott phearson
harper elle harrington (née phearson)
though the phearson children were not blessed with silver spoons in their mouths they did seem to be destined for success. the eldest, harvey, advanced in science while the middle child, harper, showed prowess in music. harley, the youngest, showed an interest in medicine, but was too preoccupied by the problems of a normal child. while harvey and harper delved deep into their studies, harley spent her childhood planted in front of a television, the colorful flashing lights were much more appealing than doing self-issued homework like her siblings. her parents, though they disapproved of their youngest's attitude, thought nothing of it. just a child being a child.
then, harvey had moved out of new york and was attending a prestigious university, majoring in biology. harper was a senior in high school, writing compositions for her club, and was most likely to become valedictorian. harley was sixteen and preoccupied with getting her boyfriend to quit smoking and dying her hair green and choosing the design for her next tattoo. rarely was there a night without their parents yelling and arguing with harley. nights like these ended with her storming out of the house, the sound of her boyfriend's car pealing out of the driveway as sole evidence that she was even there. to apologize for her misbehavior, harley had the last of her twelve tattoos removed after graduation.
when she was scrubbed clean of her tattoos (they could never get the green out of her hair, no matter how hard they pleaded and threatened), harley went off to college with plans to be a doctor (she could always stomach watching surgeries). she got an internship at a hospital and was seemingly getting her life back together. she was ambitious and driven and jealous of the adoration her siblings got. her downfall came in the form of a doctor who had big plans and a knack for persuasion. doctor steven l. randall was an ambitious man whose medical license was expiring soon, but his practice wasn't. he found the process of renewing it bothersome and unnecessary, not when there were people in the boroughs who couldn't afford to go to a hospital and were seeking their medical attention. harley began hands-on practice in seedy apartments in the boroughs with blackmarket-bought equipment, under the guidance of doctor randall.
harley promised herself after a year she would stop. eight years later, she relocated and opened up her own clinic in brooklyn, in a spare room in her apartment. steven randall had fled to europe, leaving his secondhand equipment and knowledge with his protege, with a new vision and a new pupil. paranoid that they would find out, harley resorted to estranging herself from her family, though no tears were shed at the loss.

OTHER INFORMATION
harley e. phearson. blackmarket doctor extraordinaire. she maintains a stance of neutrality, though has no problems patching up a battered gang member as long as they keep quiet. her clientele range from the everyday, average joe who can't afford those hospital bills to the hardened gang member who has no issue with being treated by an unlicensed doctor. her prices are low and she even has a house call service for her bedridden clients. she is a bit more cautious when it comes to them and keeps most of them strictly for civilians only.
her clinic is a room in her dingy brooklyn apartment. the room itself is small and with all the equipment inside, it can fit harley and two largely built men. anymore and the room would be uncomfortably cramped. the lighting is poor and flickers constantly and the metal bed where her clients sit is rusted and dented. her equipment is a hodgepodge of the more professional pieces left by her teacher and common household items and tools (and something that looks suspiciously like an old pizza slicer).
