history
PARENTS, marjory ganza (35, missing, deceased, maiden name marjory ethel), ashour "ash" ganza (40, missing)
SIBLINGS, n/a
Marcus only knew his parents for a couple years when he was young, and has long forgotten them by now. He's been living officially with his grandparents since he was six, though his parents would leave him there sporadically for days at a time prior to that. He supposed they just forgot to pick him up the last time. He doesn't like to see anything related to them, and becomes instantly furious and butthurt when it's brought up. His grandparents didn't seem to mind so much, and were always overly doting when he was younger despite his fears and protests of 'yuck', even as he's gotten older he became less and less fond of them, let alone of anyone at all. They were always old fashioned despite living in the city, and so while living on grandma's health compromising cooking he was made to be outside and actively wandering around the apartments most of the time. He hated going outside (outside was a big and scary place after all) so he would try to sneak his way back in until they got to the point of simply locking him out and unlocking it later when he's allowed back in. Occasionally they still forget to unlock the door when they're home alone, and since he can't fit through the dog door anymore, has gotten to trying to hitch nights at a 'friend's' place or sleeping in a booth at some 24 hour diner.
His school years had gone great. In elementary school, his proudest moments were placing second in school-wide spelling bees and the science fairs in middle school. He was never really noticed enough to get in any real scuffs, though he'd gotten pushed around and trampled over plenty. More recently, however, he's gotten into the habit of skipping classes. He's always assumed there, as he's always looked over regardless, and his grades are kept up when he's not sitting or attentive in class. To be honest, he'd been hoping high school would have been more of a challenge, but all it had managed to do was frustrate him in how little he was getting done. He's gotten involved in a lot of club activities as a helping hand or taking the initiative when the leader of the group isn't there, sitting in on things and keeping up to date, not an official member of any club though, unless you count the A/V club which he makes use of the equipment and messes with often.

OTHER INFORMATION
*Typical high school kid socially, who more or less blends into the background. He's active in a lot of things (doing general run arounds for different committees, clubs, etc) and does a lot of work, but he isn't noticed very well despite being pretty much everywhere. He becomes bored with classes and plans on testing out of high school, but otherwise doesn't really pay attention. It isn't rare that he'll skip, and he'll screw around after school to avoid going home as long as possible.
*He lives with his grandparents since his parents sort of ditched. He's terrified of them, and does whatever his grandmother says out of fear. His grandpa is usually just there in the background. He occasionally has to care for them himself (old people baths euuugh), but having grown up with them, he's gotten something of their good old fashioned values and an appreciation for the past. Just not the people.
*Tends to hide in his room when at home despite the constant attempts to wrench him out. There are multiple traumas that are to blame for it.
*Falls sick easily.
*Would do anything for five bucks and a mars bar.
